Final Family Fun Day in San Francisco

Well, today was our second and final family fun day in San Francisco, and boy was it adventure-packed.  We took so many photos and the play-by-play is best told in captions.  Here goes:

While everyone was getting ready in the morning, Momma, Daddy and I snuck off to the beach that was right down the street from our hotel the whole time but we had yet to see.  It was my first experience touching the Pacific Ocean.  Here's our best family photo from the beach... we're a bit squinty because the sun is in our eyes.  Also: We got to experience real SF fog, pictured behind us.

Here's my first taste of the water.  I... had no opinion of it whatsoever... but Momma thought it was fun!

Then it was off to Brunch on Haight Street at Squat and Gobble where we took some cute family photos in the covered sunroom where we ate, before saying good-bye to A. Nicole & U. Mitra.

The first time cousin Aiden held a baby!
(Aunt Nicole was right beside him ready to support me if need be!)

A photo to match my shirt:

Then it was time for Aunt Dawn to do a little shopping on Haight Ashbury Streets.  Here we are lounging around while she shopped: Daddy practicing parenting a 7 year-old and Grandpa making me a happy, smiley baby!

Then it was off to Fisherman's Wharf area where we first stopped in a couple tourist shops and smashed some pennies.

Then it was time to take some photos along the wharf.  Check out Alcatraz in the background.  As the previous photo notes, we did not go because my entry was rejected for being too cute. :)

I was taking in all the sights when my ridiculous hat was not in my face.  Momma just can't get enough of those baby blues!

We finally made it to Pier 39 to see... exactly one sea lion (where there was supposed to be many!).  Oh man!  At least it was a pretty view and we discovered the boardwalk right next door with lots of shops and a carousel for cousin Aiden.

Here we are taking a break from the heat.  I am a happy flying baby in Daddy's arms now that I have eaten!  Also: check out my cute outfit from Grandma & Grandpa!

It was time for us to say good-bye to Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Dawn & cousin Aiden.  I was sad to see them go and hope to see them soon, when I'm a bit bigger!

Aiden is almost as big as Momma (HIS "Aunt Dawn")!  They had fun together this weekend making a "Find It" craft inspired by cousin Aiden's Highlights magazine they read together.  They collected little trinkets to put in a treasure bottle.

Our final stop:  In N Out Burger to order "animal style" - what Momma and Daddy said they forgot to do (with the fries) a few years ago when they were here.  Momma called it American poutine and it was deliciously bad for them.

Here I am passed out from the day's adventure while Momma and Daddy navigated to the airport.

Final stop:  the airport.  SFO is pretty cool.  They had this awesome nursery that you had to get a code for to enter and was basically everything we needed - nursing chair, changing table, playpen, etc.  There were even diapers you could buy and nursery prints on the wall.  A baby could get used to having his own private room in an airport.  Not bad, SFO... not bad!

Now it was time for the plane.  Here I am in the jetway before boarding.  Daddy is packing up my things to gate check them.

And here I am after being officially declared a Happy Flying Baby upon the conclusion of my fourth flight.  I was wide awake during the majority of the flight but smiley the whole time.... even when letting out my first big poop in six days, which Daddy and Mommy had fun cleaning up in the little bathroom.  :)  I just wanted them to have the full experience.

It was a great weekend and I can't wait to see my family again in the future!

Oh yeah.. and I am 5 months old today!  Pretty crazy, right????
