Today was the last day of school and boy, was it ever busy! I loved every minute of it and was an absolute champ. Momma kept calling it our "practice day" since we had to get up and out of the house by a certain time. She learned that if she lays everything out the night before (such that it would normally take her 10 minutes after her shower to get out of the house), waking up two hours early will get her to school on time. Apparently, I'm a lot of work in the morning! :) Luckily, we made it on time and I even got a nap in before class started while Momma made her sub a thank-you book in "Auntie" Michal's classroom.
The day with the kiddos was only two hours but it was a lot of activity for me! All the kids love me and want to play with me... especially a pack of the girls! First, I listened to the end of the book Petey. It's supposedly an amazing book - Momma and Amy led the group in a good discussion - but since I only heard the beginning of it while in Momma's belly and now the end of it, I was a little confused. You can see me joining the circle above and listening intently anyway. (Note: kids' faces are blurred out to protect their privacy online).
After the discussion, Amy gave the kids awards and Momma and I snuck away so I could have a quick feed and diaper change before re-entering the group to do an end-of-the-year share circle. We then went out to the courtyard with the rest of the school for the bell ringing ceremony where the principal graduated each grade to the next one. I fell asleep in the Ergo during all this excitement while Momma said good-bye to her students. Here she is with a few of my biggest fans from her class.
After the kiddos left, it was time for a delicious staff luncheon where I was passed around to various adoring fans. Here I am with Erin. Don't you love my cute outfit? (Woodridge colors in my golfer pants and white polo).
We were saying good-bye to some very special staff members, including Momma's teammate Jan (opening a gift below), Allison H. (Momma's tech specialist) and Liz (Momma's principal). Allison S., Momma's former teammate, is holding me in the photo below.
"Auntie" Ally brought my gf Charlotte to WR to meet all of her old co-workers. I was glad to see my little friend! And, of course, whenever Charlie and I get together, a photo simply must be taken.
Momma and I did lots of socializing. Here I am with "Ms. Jan," Momma's teammate whom I just love.
