The original plan for today was to BBQ at Golden Gardens, but the forecast was pretty bleak, so Mom & Dad enacted Plan B: Momma's Birthday BBQ at our house. First, that required a trip to Lowes to buy a grill, since ours was rotted. I went along for the ride and checked out the grills from my viewpoint in the Ergo. Once we found one, we realized that my car seat took up too much room in the car... Daddy had to rent a truck and bring one home - but at least that meant he could get a fully assembled one. Momma and I left him there and went home so I could nap. While napping, Auntie & Uncle came over to help unload the grill, clean the house and take Daddy back to Lowes with the truck. Daddy then went to buy food for the cookout and we were ready just in time for our guests to arrive after a hectic morning! The party was fun, though. Lots of friends came by - for both Momma and me! Here are some cute photos of me playing with my Centering baby friends. Emery (with the hair) decided to eat my hand and I didn't mind. I understand this urge. I also had fun checking out Hannah while Zander and Emery decided to roll all over the place. I did one little roll from my back to front for the first time, but the hill kindof aided me in that one... :) Too bad Daddy missed it!
After the party, I had fun hanging with Mom and Dad outside and playing together inside. It was warm out, even if it was a little drizzly.
Oh, and I have a new favorite toy that just arrived from Amazon... the Winkel! It's easy for me to grasp and... you guessed it... put straight into my mouth. :) I played with it at other babies' houses, so Mom knew I'd love it. It kept me entertained lots this weekend!
