Today, we had lots of fun with Great Uncle Dave & Great Aunt Penny touring around Seattle. It was my first time in many of the places we went too because I was busy eating in the car during every other stop the last time we took family around town (when Grandpa Bill et al. were here). We toured the U. District (Mommy says I can go to UW if I want someday so I don't ever leave her, although I can go to McGill if I absolutely must leave the state), Fremont (I was pretty impressed by that troll!), Gasworks Park (cool view of Seattle!), Golden Gardens (Momma says I'll see a real beach in RI this summer, though), and the Ballard Locks (no fish today). We had a nice picnic at Golden Gardens where everyone but me enjoyed Paseos. It was a beautiful, sunny day and it felt like summer to Mom & Dad.
We finished the day and night off on the rooftop balcony of GU & GA's hotel. It was right in Pike Place Market, so it had a great view. I had fun playing on an improvised floorspace - a swaddle blanket atop a big cushion from one of the couches - and the adults had fun drinking wine and eating Indian food from places in the market. We sat there for hours - it was such a beautiful scene! Momma and Daddy were a little worried about how much sun I was getting, so they lathered me up with baby sunscreen and made me wear a funny hat. I didn't mind too much... but when they tried to outfit me with baby sunglasses, I drew the line there.
