Okay, family.. You wanted to receive these daily emails about my life, so it's time you experience all of it. Warning: not for the faint of heart. Today was mostly a day spent at home nursing and snoozing. Just before Daddy got home, though, Mom snapped photo #1. It's blurry but it still captures how I felt after photo #2, which is aptly numbered. That's right. It was quite an accomplishment that merited an emergency bath and Mom had to wash her hands about 25 times. I was pretty proud of myself.Of course, after Daddy got home, all was well. We went on what we thought would be a nice, short stroll in the Arboretum. We took photos 4-8, admiring what a beautiful night it was and how gorgeous all the azaleas are that are in bloom (check out #7, it's an azalea that turns from white to purple. Mom is including it to balance out #2).
But then we made the (poor) decision to trek through Foster Island which has not benefitted from the warm weather as well as other places have... It was completely mud covered and swampy. I was safe in the Ergo but Mommy and Daddy and Brother Kobe got very wet and muddy. Mom says that's okay - her light gray Toms needed to be replaced anyway and she was thinking about getting brown ones. :) (See: photo #3).
All in all, it was one messy day for us (well, let's be honest - mostly for Momma) but the mess provided lots o laughs all the same.
Also: Happy Birthday, Grandma Linda! We didn't get to FaceTime today but hopefully we will soon. Love you!
